Soooo disappointed with the water waste. I reported an irrigation valve thelt was hemorrhaging water yesterday in a city park for about 12 hours. It was spewing about 30 gallons a minute. I called and waited, then sent in a report on their city app. What a waste of time. When I called again at 4:30 to report it for the 3rd time I gave the lady the address for the nearest house to the problem. I reiterated over and over that the leak was at the park not the residence. The operator then told me that it wasn't in their area and it was Liberty waters problem. I told her that I had seen city park rangers and lanscpers working on it before. She said no, it's Liberty and hung up on me. I called Liberty and they sent out an after hours guy without hesitation. Huge shout-out to Adam! He showed up and turned off the water even though it wasn't his problem what so ever. It is a city irrigation valve for the park, not Liberty.
We live in a desert, water should not be wasted especially due to laziness or stupidity. I'm not sure which is the problem here.

I know for a fact that this company has been fraudulently over charging us and not to mention the rude service we are being provided. I’ve had my deposit stolen, I’ve had my water shut off, and many more complaints. Please get in contact with me so we can go for this company together. #FREEDOM

They should definitely leave these services in the hands of private companies, the city does a terrible job, I have not been able to start my service because the website is garbage and no one answers the phone in customer service.

Unfortunately, I haven’t had a good experience with their customer service. Almost every person I talk to is rude, no matter how polite I am. Especially Theresa. It’s hard to even get a word in when talking to her. Normally, I give a lot of grace with customer reps because I understand how overwhelming the job can be. But when it’s become an ongoing issue for the 2 years I’ve been in Goodyear, that’s when it becomes a concern. I’ve came to the conclusion that they aren’t customer focused so I limit interactions as much as possible. I really wish they will get the employees better training how to talk to people.

I recently had an unfortunate encounter with Theresa from the City of Goodyear Utilities Department, and I must say it was a HIGHLY disappointing experience.

Theresa's lack of professionalism was apparent from the moment our conversation began. Instead of allowing me to express my concerns and queries, she continuously interrupted and spoke over me. This not only demonstrated a complete disregard for basic communication etiquette but also undermined my ability to effectively communicate my needs.

In addition, Theresa's failure to listen and understand further exacerbated the situation. Her constant interruptions and disregard for my perspective left me feeling unheard and frustrated. It is essential for customer service representatives to actively listen and engage in meaningful dialogue, which was sorely lacking in Theresa's approach.

Overall, my experience with Theresa from the City of Goodyear Utilities Department was deeply unsatisfactory. Her unethical behavior, unprofessionalism, and inability to effectively communicate left a lasting negative impression. I hope that the department takes appropriate steps to address these concerns and ensure better customer experiences in the future.

Goodyear Utilities is getting a bad review due to the fact that they do not provide any services like stoping or starting service due to a move over the phone or in person. They also do no send a follow up/confirmation email or receipt to you once you have put in the application to end service. Once an application has been submitted to stop service there is no way to really know whether the request has been processed. They expect you, their customer, to wait 3 business days to get a confirmation email once the request has been fully processed. This is not assuring especially during a transition. Just not very “user friendly” especially for those that are not internet savvy. I have been checking my email daily, going on day two, worried that my request to end service has not been processed. A confirmation receipt should be sent out as soon as the order is placed. Also, was told that they will not back date the last day of service even though our family moved out of from our home 3 days ago.

Reading all of the negative reviews was quite disheartening considering I would be dealing with Goodyear Utilities for the first time. Jocelyn (I hope I spelled your name correctly!) was extremely helpful and even called me back to walk me through everything. Same day service, minimal wait time on the initial call, and a call back within a couple hours to say everything was handled. I can’t thank her enough for making this process so simple for me.
