It was awesome to see where they filmed the movie tombstone and other movies! This is a very cool and unique experience to be able to see where they shot a bunch of classic westerns!

Definitely recommend calling or booking ahead of time. It is closed to public unless there are guided tours..

The gentleman that was our tour guide was very informative. He gave us plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions.

Hot chocolate, root beer, popcorn was available at the end of the tour in the saloon! That was a cool experience.

We were very lucky to be there on the 4-year anniversary of the new owners and they had some Legends of movie history past signing cards and answering questions!

It was a very unique experience and we appreciated it!

If you are a movie buff this is a must see! If you are a history buff this is also a must see! My wife an I go as often as we are able to. Their volunteers are improving the location daily to make it an awesome location to film. The volunteer historians will guide you through the history of filming at the set.
Bonus points if you visit the gift shop and make a purchase. It will help keep MMS moving forward!

The Mescal Movie Set is amazing! Even if you aren’t an old west movie buff, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by this place. You can tell the owners have poured a ton of love and hard work into it. Our guide Ethan was so kind and knowledgeable. Honestly all of the staff were nice! When we were done with our tour we stopped by the gift shop. It is not your run of the mill tourist gift shop. There’s a variety of cute clothes, home decor, jewelry, and of course movie set souvenirs. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. We went to Tombstone in the morning and Mescal in the afternoon.

The volunteer guides are fun, friendly, and full of details about the productions that have taken place on site since 1950, from TV favorites like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and Little House on the Prairie to major film productions such as Tombstone, The Outlaw Josey Wales, and The Quick and the Dead. Whether you’re a tourist en route to wine country or a local from Tucson, a tour of the Mescal set is the perfect way to find your inner cowboy and have a fantastic day in the wild West!

We had a great time at the Mescal movie set! Our tour guide Ethan was full of knowledge and so entertaining! It was so cool to stand where all these famous movie stars have and walk along the set! If you find yourself in Benson, this is a must do!

Finally we were able to check it out. I am not a Western movie buff but my husband is and this was a treat... Even for me. Ten dollars for an informed tour per person (you can't wonder due to safety during restoration) and five more for the stage coach ride was well worth the time spent. The people there are knowledgeable, friendly and just fun to be around! I will recommend this to anyone who asks for sites to see and can't wait to see this place come to life. There is a lot of work, however the people are focused on the end goal and they should be recognized!

They should allow people to walk around if they don't do the tour. We like to bring our out of town guests here but we don't want to do the same tour everytime we come so not allowing us to walk around while our guests tour is rude and unfriendly and I will be sure to let this b known to others. I know other locals aren't aware of this either. Extremely frustrating!!! Will not bring guests here again. U should at least let this b known on line before they drive out here.

I’ve lived here for 59 years and was never able to see the movie set. Today I got a wonderful experience seeing the sets and meeting a few movie stars and very friendly staff. The place is all volunteer run and they were all sooooo friendly and fun. I highly recommend this place to visit.
