This was quite possibly the coolest thing I have ever experienced. They only allow small groups in to see the cave with a guide. The tour is in Spanish, but our tour guide was able to explained some in english as well, which was very much appreciated. Our guide pointed out the Neolithic and Paleolithic art and artifacts/remains. No photos allowed inside.

Meet at the Ardales Prehistory Center. Wear good grippy shoes.

This is a must see site in the Málaga region
Our guide was fantastic he was so attentive to the parties needs even although English was not his first language he did attempt and succeed in his explanation of the many paintings in the cave it was a 2 and 1/2 hour tour that went past so quickly

THIS IS NOT WHERE THE TOUR STARTS! GO TO PREHISTORY MUSEUM IN ARDALES!

Also you need reservations. But it is amazingm. Probably my favorite part of my trip to Spain

It is required to contact the owner before organising a visit. However, There is no information about that on the webpage. We didn't visit the cave inside.

We went on a Sunday and escaped the summer heat through the cave tour. Its really beautiful and the guide told us a lot of interesting information regarding the history of the cave, the geology and the humans that lived there long ago. Definitely recommend it and combines well with going to caminito el rey. Do keep in mind that in order to enter the cave you have to be at the museum before one of the guided tours start, you will then drive behind the guide until you reach the cave entrance

The cave is amazing and the guide Geraldo has a lot of information to share. The tour is in Spanish and it must be booked ahead and totally worth. Even if you don't understand Spanish very well, the guide tried to speak as slowly as possible for everyone to understand. Keep in mind you must take your own transport from the interpretation center until the cave.

Impressive, although you'll have to make reservations to visit it. Something very unique. Very close to "caminito del rey". You can feel and smell the history))
